1 No animal-derived ingredients
2 Products are CO2 compensated; Climate neutral = Often also called ‘carbon neutral’, describing the reduction and compensation of carbon emissions to Zero, but scientifically ‘climate neutral’ refers to all greenhouse gases, not only carbon dioxide
CERTIFIED CLIMATE NEUTRAL TODAY. COMMITTED TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE TOMORROW.
We are conscious about our carbon footprint. This is why all KERASILK products have been certified climate neutral by ClimatePartner.
To become climate neutral we measure our carbon emissions, actively reduce them as much as possible and compensate any remaining ones to zero.
Being committed to climate neutrality, we will be continuously reducing our carbon emissions in the future.
CLEAN & CONSCIOUS FORMULATIONS CREATED BY SCIENCE AND POWERED BY BIOTECHNOLOGY
We leverage 40 years of experience and the latest developments in biotechnology to pioneer highly effective, planet friendly and vegan ingredients & formulas.
We only use high-quality ingredients from sustainable sources and commit to full transparency of our ingredients including our fragrances.
Whenever possible we use ingredients from natural origin and strive for the highest possible ratios of biodegradability.
REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WITH A RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING APPROACH
We are committed to a minimalistic and environmentally friendly packaging and design approach and are continuously working on:
- reducing the amount of packaging materials & waste
- increasing the amount of recycled components & materials in our packaging
- increasing the recyclability of our packaging materials
- developing innovative, forward-thinking sustainable packaging design solutions
Indicating, that raw materials for this product were predominantly taken from high-quality, sustainable and / or responsible sources.
Indicating a high amount of natural ingredients (naturally derived and / or biodegradable), a minimal amount of ingredients used in the formula, or that the product has been formulated without certain ingredients (e.g. sulfates or parabens).
Products featuring that icon decrease the overall CO2 impact on the environment for example via reduced product size & weight.
Indicating that a specific product has a vegan formulation, i.e. does not contain any animal derived ingredient / raw material.
This icon demonstrates how water was (e.g. during production) or can be saved (e.g. at the basin or during at-home usage) with this product.
Products created with more sustainable packaging or that has been reduced compared to previous product versions or compared to market standards.
As early as the late 1980s, we put a stop to all animal testing for product qualification, well before the relevant EU legislation in 2004.
This icon gives general information about the recyclability of the material used for the specific product.
Climate neutral = Often also called ‘carbon neutral’, describing the reduction and compensation of carbon emissions to Zero, but scientifically ‘climate neutral’ refers to all greenhouse gases, not only carbon dioxide.
We are achieving climate neutrality for all products by monitoring, reducing and offsetting product related CO2 emissions via equivalent support of a CO2 climate protection project with ClimatePartner.
We strive to reduce our CO2 emissions by saving valuable energy in our production through an efficient formulation design as well as through product formats that bring an extra reduction of CO2 emissions (e.g. foam application vs aerosol, discontinuation of metallization)
ClimatePartner is the chosen strategic partner of Kao AEMEA for all carbon emission compensation projects at packaging, product, brand or regional level.
As part of Kao´s carbon offset program, we support a wind farm in De Aar in South Africa. Please find more information under: www.climatepartner.com/1387

Biodegradation is the degradation of a product by microorganisms into intermediate materials and simpler substances such as water, carbon dioxide and basic elements. Ingredients that biodegrade very quickly (acc. to OECD guideline) are called biodegradable
Short NOI. Indicates the content of either natural ingredients, naturally derived ingredients or mineral derived ingredients. (According to ISO 16128)
